Message From The Mayor

mayorGuided by the image of the future that we seek to create not only for ourselves but for our children as well, we envision the Municipality of Tinambac to be the economic center in the pacific side of the Province of Camarines Sur propelled by committed leaders with political maturity and empowered citizenry living in a peaceful, prosperous and clean environment.  Let me assure you that our plans, programs and accomplishments for the year that passed were geared towards the attainment of such a desirable condition in the future.

Fully aware of that vision, and in the context of our mission, we dedicated our resources, to build our capacities, to improve the delivery of essential public services and to obtain a developed living condition of our constituency.

I take pride with what we have done to enhance our performance, productivity and state of development. Briefly, allow me to enumerate what I consider as our major achievements last year.

Pagkalinga sa Saradit na Parasira “Fisherfolk Assistance”

Another priority program of LGU-Tinambac under the administration of Mayor Ruel T. Velarde, Vice-Mayor June C. Barrion and Sanggunian Bayan members. The distribution of fishnet was attended by Fourth District Congressman Wimpy Fuentebella. Coastal Barangay Captains and barangay officials were also present during said occasion.

The Municipal Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (MFARC) represented by Mr. Joji Sagales and Mr. Juan Refugio including its counterpart in the coastal brarangays, the BFARMC, assisted in the fishnet distribution.

Initially , eight ( 8 ) coastal barangay benefited in the fisherfolks assistance, namely Brgy. Sogod – 188, Brgy. Magtang – 69, Brgy. Salvacion Poblacion – 40, Brgy. Filarca – 35, Brgy. Cagliliog – 70, Brgy. Buenavista – 60, Brgy. Bagacay – 60, and Brgy. New Caaluan – 97, total number of recipient is 619.
